How did conditions in the East End help the Ripper to commit murder?

EIn this enquiry your students will engage the stories of the victims of Jack the Ripper to make inferences about Jack and the conditions in Whitechapel.

Next, your class will consider what sources an historian might use to answer the big question – a key aspect of how this unit will be examined.

They go on to engage with some interesting evidence to work out they can about living conditions in the East End.

Your class will end by seeing how the different living conditions linked to aid Jack the Ripper in his quest for murder!
