History Resource Cupboard - lessons and resources for schools

Why was there an increase in poverty and vagabondage in Elizabethan England?

Elizabethan PovertyThis enquiry deals with causation and the reasons for the increase in poverty during the Elizabethan era.

It covers the skills necessary to help students really explain why things in history happens AND saves time by providing students with a range of explanations to match to the causes.

This allows a greater opportunity for students to discuss and develop links between causal factors and think about relative importance.  This will help improve their thinking and their conclusions.

You will also help your students to develop the sophisticated language they need to show how smart they are in causation work.

Remember to download the correct enquiry below for the specification you teach.
