History Resource Cupboard - lessons and resources for schools

Who benefitted most from the Industrial Revolution?

BlincoeThis enquiry uses the personal story of Robert Blincoe to help explore the factory system.

Your students will encounter a number of sources about the factory system and the conditions endured by child labourers of the time.

They will infer, classify and collate the sources to help them work out the answer to the big question of whether the factory owners, workforce or wider population benefitted most from the Industrial Revolution.
