Put a human face on the American Depression with boxing, music, card sorts and graphs. The engaging tale of boxer James Braddock serves as a great human interest story but asks students to go further and consider Braddock as a metaphor of America in the period 1919-41.
After listening to a song, they go on to construct two living graphs before going on to answer the big question.
