Why was the Bloody Code introduced? Evaluating a dodgy internet site

9. Bloody CodeWhy was the Bloody Code introduced? This approach gets to the heart of the power of history as a subject – crap detecting!!

Your students will evaluate an internet site about the Bloody Code, then use clues to see if what it says is actually accurate. This allows them to see the power of cross-referencing for a real purpose.

When they have worked out what are the problems with the site, they improve the Bloody Code article.  And, if needed, be shown how to write a decent exam answer explanation.
