Where to site a museum to the Industrial Revolution

IronbridgeWhere would you locate a museum to the Industrial Revolution?

This enquiry exemplifies our approach to enquiry at Key Stage 3. The lesson fits neatly into any Scheme of Work that includes work on the Industrial Revolution and it will help to give a truly national flavour to such work.

The lesson uses the hook of the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games as a way in to introduce students to the perceived importance of the industrial period.

The enquiry then asks them to consider where best to locate the Museum of the Industrial Revolution.
